December 13, 2017 is the National Memorial Day for Nanjing massacre victims. In the morning, the Party and state leaders attended the national memorial ceremony held at the Memorial Hall of the Victims In Nanjing Massacre By Japanese Invaders. After attending the ceremony, General Secretary Xi Jinping had a cordial meeting with Mme Xia Shuqin, a representative of the survivors of the Nanjing Massacre, and representatives of international friends and relatives who made contributions to the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
Xia Shuqin is currently one of less than one hundred registered survivors of the Nanjing Massacre. In the winter of 1937, she, at the age of 8, witnessed that seven ones of her nine-member family died in the massacre of Japanese invaders. Now she is 88 years old, but still insists on telling and restoring the history that happened in that winter 80 years ago.
On the same day, Chi Cheng, president of Tianfu Group, and representatives of Sichuan Tianfu Bank and Sichuan Tianfu Financial Leasing went to Nanjing to visit Nanjing Massacre survivor Mme Xia Shuqin. Chi Cheng, on behalf of all cadres and employees of Tianfu Group, expressed his sincere respect to Mme Xia Shuqin for her restoration of the truth about the Nanjing Massacre and the efforts she had made for letting future generations keep in mind the history, and he also wished Mme Xia good health and all happiness. Meanwhile, Mme Xia Shuqin expressed her thanks to Tianfu Group for its strong sense of social responsibility and efforts it had made to help her and the rest of the world to restore the truth of the Nanjing Massacre and let future generations keep in mind the history.

In order to let more people keep in mind the history, Sichuan Tianfu Bank, Tianfu Group and Sichuan Tianfu Financial Leasing make a donation to the Holocaust Foundation of University of Southern California (USC Foundation) for filming a documentary with Mme Xia Shuqin as its protagonist -- The Girl and The Picture. The documentary describes her life after her survival 80 years ago and her courage and persistence in using her own experience to testify the history.
Founded by famous American director Stephen Spielberg in 1994, the Shoah Foundation is dedicated to documenting and preserving the image testimony of Holocaust survivors. For more than 20 years, the Foundation has collected personnel statements made by more than 53,000 survivors.
In addition to the donation for filing a documentary, the holographic images of the Nanjing Massacre Survivor Mme Xia Shuqi's Interactive Testimony, funded by Sichuan Tianfu Bank, Tianfu Group and Sichuan Tianfu Financial Leasing, had also been exhibited for the first time in the Memorial Hall of the Victims In Nanjing Massacre By Japanese Invaders on December 13, National Memorial Day. The project is co-presented by the Memorial Hall and USC Shoah Foundation - Institute for Visual History and Education, with the aim to demonstrate the video testimony of such history witness using the latest technology so that participants can "talk" with Mme Xia Shuqin and feel the wound brought by the history of that time to people more intuitively. These holographic images will be permanently retained at the Memorial Hall of the Victims In Nanjing Massacre By Japanese Invaders.
